β Increased flexibility
We have expanded the possibilities to customize and tailor the experience in Learnster with the following new features:
Competences
The Competences feature enables you to create tailored learning paths by organizing relevant courses into goal-oriented sequences. In order to "achieve" the competence, the learner needs to complete all the courses in the path or paths.
Competences will help you create structured learning paths and engaging learning journeys, keeping your learners motivated to achieve their goals! π€©
Examples of use cases:
If an employee needs to complete a set of three courses to be "certified" in a specific task, you can create a competence that includes those courses.
βProvide a clear learning path for new employees by creating a competence called "Onboarding Program." This competence can include all the necessary courses for new hires.

Note: Competences is available only on specific pricing plans or as an add-on. If you're interested, please contact your Customer Success Manager for more information.

Custom Roles
Take full control by managing roles more flexibly. You can now combine permissions in entirely new ways and adjust the properties of roles at any time.
You can create new roles with unique permissions across the system, courses, teams, and users, making sure everyone has access to what they need β and nothing more. As your organization grows or changes, you can update the roles in Studio, keeping the system in step with your needs.
Examples of use cases:
Create an alternate version of an existing role, such as "Admin Light" with slightly fewer permissions.
Create a "Team Content Designer" β a Content Designer but only with permissions to handle users from the team where they are also assigned the role of Team Content Designer.
Create a "Supervisor" β a version of a Team Manager that has "View only" permissions for multiple teams to track progress and follow up on training data.

Note: Custom Roles is only available on specific pricing plans or as an add-on feature. Please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager if you're interested in this feature.

Multi-Event Block
The Multi-Event Block allows learners to choose from multiple events within a single course. π Instead of creating separate courses for different dates, you can offer one course with several event options. It also enables you to create hybrid courses by combining online and on-site events, providing greater flexibility.
An improvement is that the Multi-Event Block supports scheduled courses as compliance courses. As long as new events are added to the Multi-Event Block, the compliance logic is supported.
Multiple events listings in a course. Learners can select and register on a date and locationπ
Note: The Multi-Event feature is available only on specific pricing plans or as an add-on. If you're interested, please contact your Customer Success Manager for more information.

App Push Notifications
Keep learners engaged with push notifications directly in the app. Perfect for reminding them about upcoming events, new courses, or important updates. The push notifications are the "Notifications" already configured under System Messages in Learnster Studio.
βπ§Ή Improved categorization
We have expanded the possibilities to customize and tailor the experience in Learnster with the following new features:
Roles on User Card
A new tab on the user card now displays the courses and teams where a user has been assigned a specific role. This lets admins quickly view the courses and teams associated with each user's role.
For example, you can:
View a list of courses and competences assigned to a content designer.
Check which courses an instructor is responsible for.
Identify the teams that a team manager oversees.

Catalog Category Dropdown
The Catalog Categories are now in a dropdown menu for easier navigation, and the course search field is more accessible (catalog categories are added to Studio > Settings > Categories).
βπ§Ή Learning tracking
Weβve improved the process of tracking and managing learning progress, making it easier for both learners and admins to stay aligned with training goals and milestones:
Course History improvements
Enjoy the new and enhanced course history page in Learnster U! βοΈ Learners can now easily see which courses they have completed and track their progress over time.
The course history can be sorted by columns, and thereβs a date picker for filtering by completion dates, along with the option to download a report as an Excel or CSV file.
As an admin, you can access a learner's course history directly from their user card.

Learners: Upload course history in their Course History section.
Admins: Upload external course history for learners via their user card.
Examples of use cases:
Centralized learning transcripts: Keep Learnster as your single, comprehensive platform where all internal and external training is registered and accounted for, providing a complete overview of each learner's progress.
βCompliance tracking: For organizations that require employees to log external training hours to maintain professional authorizations, ensuring all necessary qualifications are up-to-date within the platform.
