Learn how to use the assignment page for better collaboration and communication between learners and instructors

About Assignment Page

The Assignment Page takes collaboration between learners and instructors to new levels! Learners can submit assignments in a large variety of formats, including video and audio. Additionally, the page includes a built-in chat feature that facilitates communication between learners and instructors.

Create an Assignment Page

To add an Assignment (for a more detailed description, view the video below):

  1. On the course outline, click Add Page and select Assignment.

  2. Use activity types (e.g. video, audio, and images) to describe the assignment.

  3. Add estimated time length on top of the page.

  4. Select submission options Text entry and/or File upload.

  5. Select the submission file format (accepted submission file formats: PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pages, Keynote, Audio, Video, and Image).


In Studio:

Evaluate an assignment and file submission

In the Evaluation window, the instructor can review and approve the assignment and the submission files.

  1. Go to Learners.

  2. Click Progress.

  3. Click Learner name.

  4. Find the Assignment.

  5. Click Evaluate.

Built-in chat

The instructor can review and approve the assignment and the submission files. The assignment page built-in chat can be used to provide feedback and for any continued communication between the instructor and learner before and after evaluation.

πŸ’‘ Submitted images and videos can be viewed directly in Studio while documents are downloaded.



In Learnster U:

View and submit files in an assignment in Learnster U (as a learner)

  1. In Learnster U, the learner views the assignment.

  2. Submits a file.

  3. Writes in the chat.
