Video Completion

This feature is created by popular demand, which will make many Content Designers happy ๐Ÿ˜‡ .

We are now introducing the Video Completion feature, which lets you choose how much of the video your learners need to watch before proceeding with the course.

Videos can be used for different purposes when creating a learning experience. For example, videos can be used as additional content to support the core content. In these cases, Learners might not necessarily need to watch the full video to proceed with the course. You might also have Learners struggling with getting past a video in the course navigation because the video has been paused right before it ends. Well, no more of that! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Go to your video activity and choose Edit Content. In the right side menu that opens, you have the Video Completion setting, which is set to 90% as default. Choose how many percent of the video the Learners should watch before being allowed to proceed. You'll also see the time they need to pass in the video before being marked as completed.

Updated Notifications Pattern

As we've launched new features, we've also created new notifications and reminders to support the use cases and needs related to the features. As part of the first-time completion reminder for Compliance Courses, we introduced a new notification pattern to allow more flexible and dynamic options when setting up your reminders ๐Ÿ””.

To cover additional use cases and allow even more flexibility, we've now applied the same notification pattern to the other compliance reminders:

  • Recertification notification

  • Nag reminders

  • Expiration notification

Choose target recipient

With the updated notifications pattern, you can choose the reminder recipient based on the user role.

Add multiple reminders

If you want to set up multiple reminders for different target recipients, add another reminder and choose your target recipient.

Translation of Categories

Learnster currently offers 14 language options, reflected in Learnster U for Learners and Team Managers. To tailor the experience even more for your Learners, we've now added support for the translation of Categories shown in the Catalog ๐ŸŒ.

When you create a new category, you will get the option to add translations for the languages that are activated in your vendor. Submit your preferred translations, which will be applied to your Learners based on their chosen language in Learnster U!

Unstuck Learner AI improvements

Unstuck Learner AI helps guide the Learners through the content in Learnster U by visualizing their progress and notifying them if they've missed anything. To make the learning experience as smooth and pleasant as possible for our Learners, we've made some important improvements to Unstuck Learner AI.

Learners, this one is for you ๐Ÿซถ.

Removed pulsing

In previous versions of Learnster, the progress circle would be pulsing to notify Learners that they had missed some parts of the content. This animation has been removed to make sure Learners are not distracted while engaging with the content.

In v21, when a Learner gets to the end of a page, we will show their progress. If the progress is not 100%, they can hover over the progress circle, and an arrow will be shown. Clicking the arrow takes the Learner back to the content they missed ๐Ÿค“.

Visualization of incomplete activity

When clicking the arrow in the progress circle, the Learner is guided back to the content they missed, but we want to make sure it is as clear as day to the Learner. Therefore, we've added a shaking animation to the specific content so that the Learner knows exactly what content they need to check to reach 100% progress๐Ÿ•บ.
