Use Learnster Roundtable for Online Events.

Mobile browsers are lacking, or have a poor, support for WebRTC, the technology that is widely used for online video meetings. With desktop browsers, Learnster Online Event meetings are simply stared directly in the browser without any need for additional installs. On mobile devices, a dedicated app gives a better and more consistent online meeting user experience. Therefore, we have in the Learnster 1.8 release, added an iOS and an Android app to be used with Learnster Online Events.

The app can be installed from the App or Play Stores as usual.

Learnster Roundtable is exclusively developed for Learnster Online Events and can only be used together with a scheduled online event. When a learner clicks the Join the Online Event, the Learnster Roundtable app is automatically started and the learner joins the online meeting. If the user tries to start the Learnster Roundtable app directly, he or she will be prompted to access the meeting from Learnster U.

Once the user has joined an online meeting, we know which URL to use and add a Go to Learnster U button for convenience.
