You can archive a course (as Administrator or Content designer). This might be useful if you wish to keep the course instead of deleting it. It's not possible to make any changes to an archived course unless you choose to Restore it.

How to archive a course

  1. Go to Studio > Course overview.

  2. Click the More options menu (the three dots) next to the course and choose Archive.

ℹ️ Note: if you want your Learners to still see the course in their Course history, the course needs to be published when archived.

How to restore a course from Archive

  1. Go to Studio > Course overview.

  2. Click on the tab Archive.

  3. Click the More options menu (the three dots) and choose Restore.

What happens to an archived course in Learnster Studio?

  • The course will be removed from the course overview and listed under the tab Archive.

  • All course notifications and actions are inactivated.

  • Users cannot be added to or removed from the course.

  • The course content cannot be edited.

  • The course settings cannot be edited.

  • Reports are still available for courses in Archive.

What happens to an archived course in Learnster U?

  • The course is removed for Learners who have not completed the course.

  • The course will be listed in Course history for Learners who have completed the course, and they will be able to open it and view the content (if published when archived).
