What is SCORM?

SCORM, which stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model, ย is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products. It is the de facto industry standard for eLearning. What does a SCORM file look like?

Online courses can be created in a variety of third party eLearning Authoring Tools. These tools can export and package the course files into a SCORM package. The package file usually looks like a ZIP file "file_name".zip

What are the advantages and disadvantages with the SCORM standard?
