New Compliance Validity Option: Fixed Periods
We’re introducing Fixed Periods as a new compliance validity option! This allows you to set custom compliance periods based on specific dates, ensuring all learners follow the same timeframe. At the start of the new period, the course resets for everyone, requiring all learners to retake it to maintain compliance.
When Fixed Periods are useful:
Annual Industry or Government Requirements: For regulations like annual anti-money laundering (AML) training that resets each year.
Coordinated Training Scheduling: Ensures all employees complete training within a set timeframe, like cybersecurity training before audits.
Efficient Administration: Simplifies compliance management by synchronizing deadlines, communication, reminders, and follow-up and reporting.

Manually Edit Compliance Completion Date
We’re introducing the ability to manually edit completion and expiration dates for individual learners in compliance courses. Whether you need to fix an incorrect date or set a new one after reviewing an assignment, you can now make these changes directly in the course progress view or via bulk upload.
Examples of use cases:
Assignment-Based Completion: If a learner completes an assignment as part of their compliance training, the instructor can manually set the completion date once the assignment is reviewed and approved.
Correcting Errors: If a learner's completion date or expiration date was recorded incorrectly, you can easily adjust it to reflect the accurate timeline.

⭐️ Improved Competence Tracking
We’ve made it easier for managers to track team members' Competences status and progress in Teams in Learnster U. This helps managers take timely action to maintain team compliance.
↓
Insights – View Competence Expiry Status in Teams
Managers can now easily see if a team member's competence is about to expire or has already expired using the new Insights column. This makes it simple for managers to follow up on team members to keep the team compliant. Clear badges indicate:
Red badge: Indicates the learner was previously compliant but is no longer. This could be due to expired compliance, updated course content, or revised completion criteria.
Yellow badge: Indicates the learner has one or more courses nearing expiration.
In Teams in U and tab Competences, view expiry status in column Insights👇
Track Learner Competence Progress
Managers can now more easily track learner progress within a competence from Teams in U. They can see which courses are included in the competence, and follow up on each learner to check which courses have been completed and which ones remain. This provides a clear, detailed overview, making it easier to support team members on their learning journey.
In Teams in U, managers can view learner’s compliance progress👇
For Learners: View Competence Expiry Status
We’re making it easier for learners in Learnster U to stay on top of their competences by adding the same clear status badges used in Teams to the Competences view. This allows learners to quickly see when action is needed.

For Learners: Clear Competence Compliance Status
We’re adding labels to compliance courses within a competences, giving learners a quick and clear view of their compliance course status.
The labels indicate:
Yellow labels: Compliance courses are nearing expiration.
Red labels: Compliance courses have expired and action is needed.
This update makes it easier for learners to identify and act on their compliance requirements at a glance.

🔓 New Role Permissions Setting
We’ve added new settings and filters to give you better control over role permissions in Learnster.
Role Settings in Custom Roles
We’ve introduced a new Role Settings tab within custom roles for better control over role assignments.
After creating a custom role, open the role and go to the Role Settings tab.
Enable the toggle for “Require user to have the role before assignment.”
This new setting ensures that only users with the appropriate role can be assigned to specific positions or courses, preventing unauthorized role access on course information pages.
